Founder and CEO of Firewave – a brand that’s all about sustainable surf and mountain love!
Pieter used to tumble off horses for a living but now spends his days shredding snow on the mountains and cruising in a van.

Samuel Loppnow
Meet Samuel Loppnow. Our Firewave Surf Coach. He has spent the last decade immersed in the surfing world, competing at various levels.
With a deep passion for people, surfing, and the environment, he has coached surfers of all skill levels, from beginners standing up for the first time to competitors at events like the Ballito Pro.
Samuel brings extensive knowledge of surfing equipment, coaching expertise, and personal brand growth.
His dedication to the sport and his community makes him a valuable asset in the surfing world.
Fabian Peischl
Firewave is thrilled to introduce Fabian Peischl, a versatile professional with the adaptability of a Swiss Army knife. Fabian will be taking on the role of Sales and Marketing in Switzerland for our sustainable products, bringing his driven and passionate approach to promoting our brand.
Fabian’s diverse skill set allows him to excel in various roles, whether it be as a model, sports instructor, lifeguard, or survival guide. His experience across different fields enables him to offer a unique perspective and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Passionate about nature conservation and with a deep love for mountain powder, Fabian maintains a positive mindset and is committed to promoting sustainable products within the outdoor industry.

With a diverse background in wildlife conservation, customer service, and business management, Silvia Simonin ensures smooth operations in Switzerland, combining her passion for efficiency and sustainability with extensive experience.
A lifelong nature enthusiast, Silvia’s love for Switzerland’s landscapes aligns perfectly with the company’s focus on high-quality, sustainable products. When not managing logistics and administration, she enjoys hiking in the Alps, exploring lakes, or gardening.

We’re excited to welcome Josh Glenny to the Firewave team. His love for the outdoors and deep connection to the ocean—especially while surfing with his daughters—reflects the grounded spirit he brings to life and work.
Josh’s journey through the 89km Comrades Marathon, completed within the 12-hour cutoff, shaped his resilient mindset—valuing endurance, focus, and determination.
With a strong background in Sales and Marketing, he’s launched multiple ventures and helped scale startups, thriving on turning ideas into successful brands.
